The SES Council provides a snack program to ensure that students are well fed and ready to learn. Healthy snacks – apples, crackers, cheese, and dry cereal – are available to students in the office at all times.
Since the beginning of the school year, more than 1200 students have used the program. Students have consumed 1378 apples, 600 servings of cheese, and many hundreds of servings of cereal and crackers.
How can you help?
1- Ask your children whether they have participated in the snack program.
2- Send enough food to school with your children. Choose healthy options, including fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains. Try to anticipate when your children might be hungrier, such as during intramural sports or growth spurts, and send extra food.
3 – Volunteer to help out! Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
4 – Make a donation to support the program! Instructions at www.stonecrestcouncil.ca/parents/grab-n-go-snacks.
