The SES Council provides a Grab ‘n’ Go snack program to ensure that our students are well fed and ready to learn. Apples and other snacks are available in the office to all students at all times. Foods provided meet the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services Student Nutrition Guidelines and focus on fruit/vegetables, milk/milk alternatives and whole grains.
Funding for our program is provided by the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE) School Breakfast Program, the President’s Choice® Children’s Charity, SES Council fundraising initiatives, and private donations. We welcome any parental contributions towards the program.
To donate, do the following:
1 – Go to to the Stonecrest Council Hot Lunch website ( http://www.stonecresthotlunch.ca ).
2 – If you have an account already, login; if you don’t have an account, register for one. You will be asked to provide your name, phone number, email address, and a password.
3 – Once you are logged in to the site, select “Students” at the bottom of the page.
4a – If members of your family are already in the system, you will see their names and a list of options.
4b – If you are the first person in your family to register, you will be prompted to enter your child’s first name and last name and grade. You must also select a class from the drop-down list.
5 – At the top of the list of options is “Hot Lunch Donations”. Select “Donate”.
6 – Enter the quantity as the amount that you would like to donate.
7 – To complete your donation, select “Update Order & Proceed”.
Donations will support students in need through the Grab ‘n’ Go snack program, the food cupboard, and the Hot Lunch program. Big or small, your donation makes a positive impact to someone’s health, well being, and education experience. Thank you for your consideration.
